Seriously Good Cereals
When COVID jolted people out of their habits in 2020, it had a direct impact on their eating habits and the emotional demands on their favorite brands. This was a huge opportunity for packaging.
GOOD STUFF Cereals is a passion project and creative concept that we developed in response to these changing shopping behaviors during the pandemic.
As people found themselves working from home and craving “comfort food” during the first COVID year, cereal sales in the U.S. increased 9%. Inspired by this trend insight, we contributed our own design on the theme. GOOD STUFF is our interpretation of “pandemic packaging”: lightheartedness in a box.
GOOD STUFF uses its packaging as an advertising space for optimism and lightness when you need it most. To do this, the cereals bring together the trend of ’90s aesthetics with visual references to video games, comics, and sticker albums with the conceptual design approach of “the power of packaging.”
For GOOD STUFF Cereals, a feel-good nostalgia was at the core of the design: serving adults the healthy, sustainable version of their childhood memories at the breakfast table – that’s some seriously GOOD STUFF.
